Movsar Evloev received criticisms from Dana White over his last fight but he was told that the UFC president wasn’t even watching it at the time.

The boss was watching NFL

Speaking to the Badaev Podcast, the undefeated featherweight fighter opened up about his speculation that the UFC boss is hindering his road to a title shot. According to Evloev, it didn’t sit well with him when White downplayed his decision win over Arnold Allen at UFC 297 when someone saw the UFC president watching American football during his fight.

“Then for some reason, Dana said that my last fight was not entertaining. Maybe he wanted to motivate me somehow or dampen my championship ambitions a little. Because he already understands that I’m close. Then we talked with Dan Lambert after the fight. He said, ‘Movsar, I was sitting next to Dana White during your fight, and he was watching American Football there,'” Evloev revealed.

“He apparently placed a bet somewhere on the time of my fight. He may not have even fully seen my fight. Maybe he somehow drew attention to my fight after there were illegal blows, when there was still one minute left,” he continued.

Movsar came for the title

When asked if he ever spoke to White about it, Evloev said he did and he made it clear to the UFC boss that he is after the title and not White’s praise.

“I told Dana, ‘I’m not here to amuse you, I came here for the belt.’ I’ll take the belt, and then we’ll see,” Evloev said.

Evloev has gone unbeaten in all of his eight UFC fights. He is desperate to take on anybody that could earn him a title shot despite having a flawless pro MMA record of 18-0. He is currently the No. 5 featherweight contender in the UFC.
