Watch the The Voice vs. Joe Rogan or be made fun of for the rest of your life

This review for HDNet’s ‘The Voice vs. Joe Rogan’ can be summed up by one word: Rawesome. That wouldn’t make much of an article, but it would make for a pretty slick tweet, a tweet that I’ve already twatted yesterday. If you’ve ever found yourself munching on a breakfast burrito at 4am in your friend’s living room while you debated who would win in a hypothetical match between Brock and Fedor, this HDNet special is for you. In fact, the guys over at HDNet should have launched this for 4/20. I guess they didn’t want to compete with that 420 surprise we created a week ago.

Michael Schivaello was nice enough to send us a screener of ‘Joe Rogan vs. Michael Schivaello’ which will air tonight on HDNet at 10:00 PM ET. It’s a must watch folks. If you don’t have HDNet, call up your nearest friend, ex-girlfriend, co-worker and promptly invite yourself over. The title is a little bit misleading. Let me make this clear, this is not an MMA fight regardless of how cool that would actually be (got to give the nod to Rogan).

After UFC 110 in Australia, Joe Rogan stopped by Schivaello’s pad to be interviewed by The Voice on a variety of topics. There’s one thing that’s omnipresent in the interview that you will undoubtedly notice. It’s strange, awkward and mid-way through the interview you will wonder just why that ‘thing’ is there. Of course, I’m not telling you what the ‘thing’ is, you’re just going to have to watch the show tonight to find out.

In the special, you could tell both commentators thoroughly appreciate each others work in a very strong, heterosexual sort of way. At one point in the interview, they give a fist-bump over the fact that Erin Toughill is really the only person that could defeat Cyborg (I hope you’re reading this Erin). Everything else you could possibly imagined is covered including what would happen if the Dream/Strikeforce champs were pitted against UFC and the answers from Joe Rogan just may surprise you.

Alright, that’s it. If I divulged the contents of the show, then there would absolutely no reason to watch it tonight on HDNet at 10:00 PM ET. Until ZUFFA finds a way to co-promote with FEG, this is the closest thing any of us are going to get to seeing both of these guys on the screen at the same time. Don’t miss it.
