If there’s anyone left in Japan who can defeat Nick Diaz, it’s going to be Mach Sakurai. Dude absolutely destroyed Shinya Aoki in Dream 8. Not ‘destroyed’ in the sense that his hands and feet spontaneously combusted in the middle of the Nippon Gaishi Hall. Not at all. Sakurai took Aoki’s self-esteem and flattened it with a rapid succession of knees straight to Shinya’s dome. After the fight, Aoki was relegated to sobbing in the corner of the ring as Mack Sakurai collected yet another pay check for urinating on someone’s ambitions.
In this Dream 14 promo, Nick Diaz says that he believes Shinya Aoki doesn’t have good friends and that if Aoki dies, he dies also.
