Remember just a few weeks ago when Jon Jones and Greg Jackson played the hero role and saved an old lady from a smash and grab purse snatcher just hours before his title fight with Shogun? Well, now GSP has been caught on camera using his Karate to submit a knife wielding attacker in Toronto just days before UFC 129. Seems like all these UFC guys are turning into crime fighting superheroes.
Sure, the GSP knife wielding attacker was brandishing a rubber pirate style toy knife, but there is no need to focus on such petty and erroneous details. I couldn’t help but hear “You’re the Best” by Joe Esposito playing in the background when I watched this video and picture GSP as Daniel LaRusso taking out that douchey Johnny guy from Cobra Kai. Now I think I will spend the rest of the day being painfully annoying to all of my coworkers and friends by responding to everything with random Karate Kid quotes like “paint the fence” and “sweep the leg” in a Mr. Miyagi voice.
