Welcome to the UFC, Christian Leroy Duncan.
The Signing
The Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion was originally scheduled to meet ‘The Ultimate Fighter 25’ winner Jesse Taylor in the main event of Cage Warriors 148. However, the bout would end up not taking place as Taylor was unfortunately in a hit-and-run car crash
While Duncan wasn’t able to make his second title defense to close out the year, the undefeated fighter was still able to end his 2022 with a monumental win. Following his fight fallout at Cage Warriors, ‘CLD’ finally got the UFC call.
Duncan Wants To Debut At UFC 286
The 27-year-old broke his exciting career news on New Year’s Eve… Talk about a way to top off the year.
“We’ve made the decision I’ll be handing this belt back to Cage Warriors,” Duncan said on the Cage Warriors 148 broadcast. “Then, next year, 2023, London, March, I’ll be looking to make my UFC debut in London.”
Duncan has made impressive work early in his career. The English prospect’s record sits at a perfect 7-0, with six of those wins ending by way of finish. Duncan has only seen the distance once into his professional career.
Christian Leroy Duncan will look to keep his high-finish rate going when he steps into the Octagon. And if all goes according to plan, we’ll see this undefeated fighter debut at UFC 286 in his backyard in London, England.
