UFC banning ANY fighter that appears in the EA MMA game

I had to remove the plastic ‘Are you serious dude?’ wrapper from this story whenever I got it. Apparently UFC and WEC’s parent company, ZUFFA, issued a warning to all UFC/WEC fighters. The warning states that any fighter who will appear in the EA’s MMA game will be banned from fighting with any ZUFFA organization. That means if your boy George St. Pierre takes a videogame deal with EA, it would be the last time you would see GSP do a backflip inside the octagon (and talk about how no one can interrupt his ‘riddum’). This is disappointing news for all videogame geeks out there. Not only has this been reported, but probably the most notable MMA agent in the game, Ken Pavia has said not only is this true, but the UFC wants the news out there.

So it really comes down to who has more loot, Electronic Arts or UFC? EA essentially brought the rights to the NFL a few years ago barring any other videogame company from making a licensed NFL game. EA should just make a raw power move (that’s my little tribue to Notorious B.I.G) and just take over the UFC.
