Tom Aspinall says he will be part of Tyson Fury’s training camp for Francis Ngannou.

Aspinall and Fury have trained together in the past and as Fury is set to take on the former UFC champion, Aspinall revealed ‘The Gypsy King’ called him to be part of his camp. Fury wants to work with Aspinall as MMA fighters have different stances and techniques than traditional boxers.

“Interesting, definitely. Slight puncher’s chance for Ngannou. But, I don’t think he has much of a puncher’s chance,” Aspinall said to TNT Sports. “Tyson actually called me the other day and wants me to help him with his training camp, so that will be interesting.”

‘Puncher’s Chance’

When asked if he will take up Tyson Fury’s offer, Tom Aspinall says he will as he knows training with Tyson Fury does wonders for his career as well.

With Aspinall training with Fury, he does expect ‘The Gypsy King’ to win the fight, as he thinks Francis Ngannou’s only path to victory is by a flash KO. However, he doubts Ngannou will be able to land much on Fury.

“I think so, yeah. We’re gonna chat after the fight, I’ll give him a ring next week and we’ll go over what he wants to do or whatever. We’ll see. But, interesting, fair play to Ngannou for getting what he wants. He has a puncher’s chance of course he hits like a truck, but he has to be able to land it. Fury is a master,” Aspinall added.

Tyson Fury has opened up as a sizeable betting favorite to defeat Francis Ngannou, so what Tom Aspinall says shouldn’t be a surprise.

As for Aspinall’s career, he is set to return from his knee injury on Saturday as he headlines UFC London. The Brit is set to face Marcin Tybura after losing to Curtis Blaydes last July.
