Decades from now, you’ll be telling your grandkids the story of how Anderson Silva pulled off the armbar to end all armbars. It’s truly MMA’s first immaculate submission. I’m not even sure how many times I’ve told someone the events that transpired at UFC 117 and every time I do so, it exaggerates just a little. By next year, I wouldn’t be surprised if laser sword wielding Thundercats somehow enters the story roughly around the fourth round.
