New York is a state that is known for being one of the most liberal states in the USA. Lately though, the only thing New York political leaders seem to be liberal about is their conservativeness about MMA and tweeting pictures of their naked weiners. New York is one of only three states that has yet to legalize MMA and Sheldon Silver appears to be the lastest politician to join Bob Reilly’s crusade against legalzing the sport in the state.
According to an article in the New York Daily News today the Speaker of the Assembly Silver is squashing the potential to vote on this bill prior to the end of this legislative session on June 20th and said:
“There does not appear to be widespread support in the Assembly for this legislation.”
Silver makes this statement despite other politicians recognizing that most every other state has sanctioned the sport and the positive revenue generation the sport would create for New York. The only logical conclusion that can be made now is that Silver is not really a human being afterall, but a robotic creation. He must be being controlled with a little old school atari style joystick controller in the back room of the assembly by the headmaster of MMA hate-Bob Reilly. [source]
