So you’re telling me the 2007 alpha-build for UFC Undisputed looks better than any MMA game on the market?

We’ve all had something that was awesome, and through endless diplomacy, made it a futile variation of what it originally was. Every screenplay I’ve been involved in went from ‘Dude, that’s the most ballerish thing I’ve seen’ to ‘Yeah, that should get the Soccer Mom crowd’. Apparently UFC Undisputed went through this same process nearly three years ago. MiddleEasy reader ‘Combo_Breaker’ pointed out that the same studio who are responsible for the upcoming Supremacy MMA are actually using the same engine that THQ used for their 2007 trailer of UFC Undisputed 2009.

Listen, they are the same people that made Backbreaker. So im sure its going to use the Euphoria engine. And thats all ive been waiting for to hear in a MMA game…ACTUAL PHYSICS. So my guess is that its going to look something like the 2007 trailer for UFC 2009.

The reason its so damn dark and BRUTAL, might be because they don’t know how to approach the MMA audience. So they take the lesser %, the ones that think MMA is UFC and add something they can relate to like the mma scenes from movies and tv.

Where as BIG name companies only need names to fill a roster and a half finished mma engine(THQ im looking at you). See this game has nothing but full untapped potential,(look @ that UFC 07 trailer again)they just need some guidance on where to take it and how to approach the MMA people as a whole.

See backbreaker/ufc had so much potential but just not enough focus. Here with Supremacy MMA i hope it gets it. Heres that UFC 07 trailer for reference.

Check out the physics and fluidity of this three year old trailer which appears to be light years ahead of UFC Undisputed 2010 and EA Sports MMA.

Update: Just to clear the air, we’re going to interview the developers of Supremacy MMA by the end of the week to see what exactly is going on with this mentioned clip and the engine they intend to use in their upcoming game.
