I was browsing through EA Sports media assets and noticed that a set of screenshots were published August 17th but not necessarily publicized by EA Sports or Strikeforce. Essentially, it’s just a group of screen captures illustrating the ‘Belt Race and Fight Card’ features within the upcoming game. However, I did notice two trademarked images of a new Strikeforce logo. The first of which is a hexagonal black/red ‘shield’ with a giant ‘S’ in the middle. The words ‘MMA’ are written underneath. It also appears that Strikeforce will give their old ‘Strikeforce’ letters somewhat of a futuristic update. This seems like a massive improvement from their blood-splattered angel wings with the obligatory gothic calligraphy font. Not sure when the new branding will go into effect, but don’t be surprised if you see the change around the same time EA Sports MMA launches.
