Villasenor may have saved humanity against Cyborg and his network of Terminators but it’s the walking GI Joe Tim Kennedy that has instilled some faith that America understands that ‘knowing is half the battle‘ (the other half is overhand rights to the face). MMA has finally found a “Real American Hero” that trains on a M249 fully automatic machine gun (punching bags are so 2008). Tim Kennedy is the best thing to happen to the US and MMA since the birth of Road Block. Get a plane, drop this dude in Afghanistan and the entire war on terrorism could end in the amount it takes you to watch the entire Ray Mercer/Tim Sylvia fight.
It was hard to fully comprehend what was going on Friday night in the fight between Tim Kennedy and Nick Thompson on the Strikeforce Challengers: Cyborg vs. Villasenor card. It could have been the quarts (nobody uses that word anymore) of mojitos that were 2 for 1 (which could explain the last two years of my life), but right after Nick Thompson tapped due to an air strike of of fists that landed directly on Thompson jaw…the guy got back up and claimed he didnt tap. That’s like pretending someone bought you a shot of tequilia and then after you drink it, tell the bartender it was empty before you got it (and then get kicked out the bar and leave your wallet so you have to walk an hour and a half home and get chased by a coyote…damn). Set aside the fact that Tim Kennedy looks like an extra in Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. The dude is a full-time soldier and a full-time MMA fighter. He’s like 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner. So when you go to bed tonight on your Target futon, know that Tim Kennedy is like a real life GI Joe action figure…with the Kung-Fu grip./p>
