Popular Kick streamer Adin Ross recently spent some time inside the cage with reigning UFC bantamweight world champion Sean O’Malley.
Things when pretty much how you would expect.
Ross, 23, became famous after growing a fan following online while streaming the popular NBA 2K and Grand Theft Auto video games. Since then he has also become well known for his celebrity collaborations, which often include getting his ass handed to him by a variety of combat sports stars. Most recently, Ross agreed to take a body shot from current UFC light heavyweight king, Alex Pereira.
He has also stepped inside the ring with Jake Paul, Dillon Danis, and former interim WBC lightweight titleholder Ryan Garcia.
On Wednesday, Ross went toe-to-toe with ‘Sugar’ and pretty much got beaten down for the better part of 10 minutes — all of which you can watch via the below embed.
Sean O’Malley Teases a Return to Action in September
Sean O’Malley claimed the 135-pound crown last August with a perfectly counter right that dropped ex-champion Aljamain Sterling in the second round of their UFC 292 scrap. He has since defended the title, pummeling Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera in a long-awaited rematch at UFC 299 last month.
Initially, O’Malley had hoped to move up a weight class and challenge newly minted featherweight king Ilia Topuria later this year. However, UFC CEO Dana White quickly squashed those plans, making it clear that the next task for ‘Sugar’ would be to take on No. 1 ranked bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili
No official date has been announced regarding O’Malley’s next defense, but ‘Sugar’ recently teased a potential return in September, writing “Sugtember” on X. On Saturday, September 14, the UFC is scheduled to make its promotional debut inside The Sphere in Las Vegas, making that the likely date for O’Malley’s clash with ‘The Machine.’
