Sasahara says they are considering bringing Pride rules to Dream

We can’t say we told you so yet because Pride rules in Dream is still just as hypothetical as functional buffalo wings. There is no way a buffalo can fly with those things. The best thing a buffalo wing can do is be dipped in ranch. At the moment, Pride rules in Dream is currently at the state of ‘Buffalo Wing Status’. A couple of weeks ago, this very topic flew through our Sunday Morning Rumor Mill and abruptly pushed every other rumor aside. Dream executive, Keiichi Sasahara, wants to invigorate Japanese MAM after back-to-back losses from Gomi and Aoki and in this interview from Daniel Herbertson at MMAFighting, bringing Pride rules back to Japan is something he is still considering.

“We haven’t decided yet. When we finally decide on whether to settle on the ring or cage, the rules must then be adjusted. Whether we will use elbows, knees or soccer kicks will depend on if we are using the cage or the ring. I would like to hear the opinion of others too. The fighters, broadcasters, sponsors and of course the fans.”

This is the point in the article in which we would tell everyone to email Keiichi Sasahara with their three-paragraph essay on why Pride rules should appear in Dream but unfortunately, I don’t know of a way to contact Sasahara. Instead, try contacting Daniel Herbertson since he apparently has Sasahara on speed dial. [Source]
