Sage Northcutt Signs With ONE Championship

Former UFC Top Prospect Sage Northcutt Officially Joins ONE Championship

Earlier this month the 22-year-old “Super” Sage Northcutt bared his plans on social media that he’s on his way to Singapore to talk with Asia’s biggest MMA promotion ONE Championship founder and CEO Chatri Sityodtong about a possible deal.

On Friday afternoon Chatri Sityodtong took to social media and announced that they have officially signed Sage Northcut with ONE Championship.

Despite Northcutt’s promising potential, UFC head honcho Dana White confirmed earlier this week, that UFC decided to let Northcutt go as he has not renewed his contract with the company. That decision gives ‘Super Sage’ a chance to sign with ONE Championship.

Northcutt has been making waves since he made a promotional debut at Dana White’s ‘Lookin’ For a Fight’ TV series back in 2015. “Super Sage” last fought in July of 2018, where he came out victorious after defeating Zak Ottow via second-round KO. His overall record is 11-2, with eight wins by stoppage and 6-2 in UFC.

One Championship has been making headlines as 2018 is coming to close. Earlier in October ONE FC announced they had signed a free agent former UFC and Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez. Later that month the MMA organization based out of Singapore made a historic deal with UFC to swap Former Bellator and ONE welterweight champion Ben Askren for flyweight king Demetrious Johnson. Since then both ‘Mighty Mouse’ and Askren have signed new contracts with ONE and the UFC respectively.

Most recently, former UFC bantamweight champ Miesha Tate announced she got a role of “vice president” with ONE Championship.

Do you think Sage Northcutt made a right move in joining ONE Championship?
