Big Country is now ‘Moderately Sized Country.’ He turned into Kansas. So what’s the deal with this Roy Nelson? Is he being an ironic hipster intentionally, or is it just a natural progression that he stumbled upon when he woke up one morning? The mullet hatching on the back of his head looks as if it’s evolving into a mid-80s rat tail. It’s like his hair is so hip that the extra moved off the top of his head in order to do something so underground that you probably won’t even understand it.
Tonight we perhaps saw Mirko Cro Cop’s last MMA bout, at least his final UFC event. The first round both fighters exchanged their fair share of strikes and in the second, Mirko unleashed a blitzkrieg of upper cuts on Big Country that would have finished any other fighter. However, Big Country has that natural ‘hipster’ force-field which prevents him from taking damage and listening to anything that actually plays on the radio. Roy Nelson managed to rally back in the third and finish Mirko Cro Cop on the ground via referee stoppage.
Props to Big Country on his win and if this was Mirko Cro Cop’s final fight, thank you for placing Croatia on the map.
