“The Strabanimal” James Gallagher’s (7-0) perfect record didn’t remain intact as he tasted the first defeat of his career after Ricky Bandejas derailed his hype train via first-round knockout at last night’s Bellator 204 event that took place at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Gallagher’s dropped to 135-pound to face a newcomer Bandejas but failed to score the win.
Few moments before the fight begins, Gallagher taunts his opponent. As soon the bell rang, Bandejas destroyed Gallagher’s hope with a crisp right hand that dropped “the Strabanimal” in a midway of the first round, but he got back on his feet quickly. As soon Gallagher regain his conscious, Bandeja landed a vicious left sidekick that wobbled Gallagher again, Ricky jumped on him then follow-up with barrages of punches that end the fight sequence.
