Respect Anderson Silva or things will happen that you can’t even imagine

The dance in Abu Dhabi, the weird white mask before he kicked Vitor in the face and some would say his playing of Chael Sonnen for 23 minutes are all evidence of the fact that there may be no more horrifying fighter to cross than Anderson Silva. The Spider toys with professional fighters like a cat batting around a dead mouse and the yellow clad warrior has laid 14 limp carcasses in a row at Dana’s feet. Now we can add Yushin Okami, the last guy to ‘defeat’ Ando, to the list of fighters that have peeved off the greatest middleweight of all time (MOAT?). Silva not only wants to avenge his loss, but Ando thinks Okami disrespected him by not continuing that fateful night at Rumble on the rock. Here is what the middleweight god told Tatame about Okami and respect.

“I was a little surprised with his reaction to that [upkick] Do I think he could have continued? I do think he could have continued. But he had the rules in his favour. I did an illegal kick and he chose that it was better not to continue.

“The thing I always demand is respect. I respect everybody and have a history in the sport and I believe people need to respect me. When they cross that line of respect is when they don’t really understand what happens.

“And things happen to them that they never imagined would happen. To me, you have to keep respect. When you don’t, not good things are going to happen to you.”

I have to use that line next time I’m in the drive thru: ‘Get my order right and respect me or things will happen to you could never imagine’. Like a strongly worded letter, or worse.
