The beauty in mixed martial arts is that its constantly evolving. The ever-morphing art in MMA makes what Kyra Batara did at Combate Americas possible. In Combate Americas’ UFC Fight Pass debut event, Batara and her grappling skills stole the show.
During a second round mat exchange Batara locked her opponent Jenny Silverio in a wicked Eddie Bravo-esque Twister neck crank. Gutting it out, Silverio refused to tap and with no escape in sight proceeded to eat punches to the dome upwards of 40 times. Batara from the twister position is a savage.
Watch in awe as Batara wins by what Bravo called the first incident of Technical Knockout via Twist N Pound. Love this sport.
