Rampage Jackson is one of the few MMA fighters that still have an aura about them. It might be because he comes from a different era of MMA, he’s fought in three different decades. He’s one of the last guys from the old guard, he fought in a time when it was still largely style vs. style. He dethroned the most popular UFC LHW champion, at a time when the UFC couldn’t have been bigger.
I’ll be honest, if this was a wrestling event, Bellator would’ve had Rampage powerpombed Christian M’Pumbu through the cage, resulting in him disappearing and never being seen from again.
It appears that even though Rampage has fought in three decades, he’s still a very violent human being and getting punched by him isn’t something I want to deal with, unless I am being paid in a bag with a giant $ filled with gold doubloons.
Then this ridiculous ‘fight’ broke out. Maybe Bellator is professional wrestling after all.
