Dustin Poirier Donates $20K To Charles Oliveira’s Charity: ‘Promise Made, Promise Kept’

Poirier kept his promise to Oliveira.

Dustin Poirier isn’t just a fighter, he is also a man of his word. 

The UFC superstar promised to donate $20K to a charity of Charles Oliveira’s choice, right after a devastating defeat in December. Months later, The Diamond’ stuck to his promise in full force. 

‘Promise Kept’

Poirier and ‘The Good Fight Foundation’ would make the check out to the ‘Charles Oliveira Institute’, which provide free MMA training to kids and young adults in the UFC Champion’s hometown of Guarujá, São Paulo. 

“Promise made promise kept,” Poirier’s foundation wrote on Instagram. “We are supporting Charles & his mission to empower the youth of Brazil.

“All the best to you in your upcoming title defense.”

Oliveira Reacts

‘Do Bronx’ would take some out of his training camp to write back to Poirier. 

“Thank you very much Diamond,” Oliveira wrote on Twitter. Your help is so important.”

“You’re the man @DustinPoirier. No words to describe how I appreciate your help, and your it will be a key to help unprivileged kids’ life.”

Oliveira has accepted the donation ahead of his next title fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 274.
