Paul Daley says ‘you win some, you lose some’, but still thinks the stoppage was early

How can anyone stop looking at this Esther Lin photo? That picture repeatedly played throughout Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley, and every time I see it, my insides thank me for not choosing MMA as a career profession. To get punched in the face is a daunting thought, but to be locked in a cage with another human being that has the ability to erase your memory with one punch is perhaps the most terrifying thing one can imagine. I’m not sure why these guys do it. If the timeline of humanity was turned back a few thousand years, guys like Paul Daley and Nick Diaz would be leading tribes of humankind into tar pits to battle with saber-tooth tigers and mastodons. Actually, that scenario could never happen simply because civilization was not around during the end of the Pleistocene Epoch. It’s all a myth. Humans never walked alongside woolly mammoths and Jesus never rode a velociraptor (however there’s clear evidence that stegosauruses fought tyrannosauruses with red lasers and metallic armor).

LayzieTheSavage caught up with Paul Daley shortly after his bout with Nick Diaz to see what exactly happened in his first Strikeforce title bout, and here’s what he said.
