Although dogs make great companions, it has been said that a camel is your best friend in the desert. Camels can carry all your Jaco gear on their backs, store water and travel for days on end without complaining that it’s too hot or their feet hurt. Good luck getting your bulldog to carry anything on his back for you. If a camel ever dies during your desert journey, you’re supposed to gut the insides out and use it’s carcass as shelter (It’s seriously in every survival manual with a chapter on deserts).
