I’m not sure what my gay neighbors think about this weekend’s upcoming UFC on FOX 5: Diaz vs. Henderson card, but they usually judge fights based on guys their parents will most likely approve of if brought home. Based on that simple premise, I’m sure they believe Ben Henderson will come out Saturday night triumphant, with a glittery belt wrapped around his waist. My gay neighbors, they use the word glittery when referring to items that have ‘bling’ — such as UFC championship belts. If I was inspired enough, I would create a feature on MiddleEasy called ‘Ask my gay neighbors MMA’ since that’s such a tremendously remarkable idea. Egh, I’ll just play Halo 4 since that’s easier and requires far less thought.
We’re steadily counting the days until we get to see UFC’s fifth venture on the FOX network. Nate Diaz vs. Ben Henderson has consumed your entire state of being for the past couple weeks. Don’t worry, the same thing is happening to us. If time travel existed, today would already be Saturday morning and I would have a tray of extraordinarily fine vegetarian snacks to feast on during the event. Unfortunately physics prevents time travel from happening, so we’re stuck with what we have.
