Mike Perry is constantly looking for bigger and better opportunities.

The former UFC fighter Mike Perry has made a name for himself with his wild fighting style and his even wilder personality. He became a fan favorite in the UFC after he began to win all-out wars and showed no sign of slowing down. He compiled 15 fights while with the UFC and ended his run there with a record of 7-8. He fought out his contract in 2021 and was not signed back with the organization. At that point, he made a shift over to bare-knuckle boxing and signed with Bare-Knuckle FC.

So far with BKFC, Perry had fought twice, most recently he won a majority decision over Bellator’s Michael Page. That fight was a huge success for both men, both financially and personally as it was a popular matchup that drew many fans to watch the bout. Perry has been vocal about wanting to get back in the UFC but is happy with his position at BKFC. He spoke about the financial benefits he is seeing there and more when he was a guest on the Food Truck Diaries podcast.

“I gotta say, man. Bare Knuckle’s talking real money,” Perry said. “They’re offering much more than I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It’s boxing money. I show up and I get money. With the MVP fight, I got paid regardless and then there was a little bit of a win bonus on top of that.”

As for what is next for Perry it seems a move back to MMA could be in the cards. The UFC is not calling for him at this time but Perry has some interested parties.

“PFL might be gunning for me now but bare knuckle just seemed like the right fit. They had the right offer the opportunity was there and then when the MVP fight came up got a little more out of my contract with them. I love that, you know, because Bellator didn’t want to look out for me when I was leaving UFC, they sent out their cash cow to fight me bare knuckle and I was like all right so now where’s the offer for me to fight in MMA in Bellator for a big check?”

Mike Perry would be open to a boxing match against Jake Paul

There is another opportunity that Perry would be willing to entertain, a boxing fight against Jake Paul. Paul has been fighting former MMA fighters in the boxing ring and making a huge amount of money doing so. Perry wants in on some of that Jake Paul money and thinks he has the skills to beat him.

“The way I fight, I’m kind of like Mike Tyson,” he said. “I go for it, I go in, I slip-off, I slip and rip I get to the side I try to hit you with devastating shots in devastating areas.”

Perry said he once sparred with Paul and knows he will win if the two are ever matched up.
