Whew! What a really bad day. I mean a really, really bad day. Spent all night trying to take you guys to the 4th dimension (Genki Sudo style) with this nutty new site design, finished at around 4am…woke up at 7am and the entire site was hacked. Everything friggin hacked. Apparently people weren’t ready for the 4th dimension. Through hours of being put on hold and slamming my forehead into my desk I discovered that hackers used some really basic malware to break into our site and insert a worm to replace all .html files with garbled up nonsense. The irony of it all, the hackers found the exploit in a folder on the server named ‘Tom Atencio’.
The site is finally back up and running. As you may have noticed, Saturday and Sunday are non-existent. It’s as if the site were on some really huge peyote binge and those two days were erased from our memory. However, I do have all articles written on Saturday and Sunday backed up so you will eventually see these articles appear as new in the next few minutes. Just act surprised when you find out Rashad Evans defeats Thiago Silva. A lot of stuff is still being uploaded so everyone relax, kick back and take it easy.
The one thing that got overlooked is the new site design. You guys like it? Too nutty? Too rawesome? We just invested in some serious malware protection so don’t expect the site to go down like this ever again. They hacked the gibson, we now have the digital condom to protect us.
