Max Holloway thinks no other person is deserving of presenting the BMF belt at UFC 300 than UFC legend Mark Coleman.

Mark is a real life BMF

Speaking to MMA Junkie, “Blessed” said that if the UFC is to have a special guest to wrap the BMF belt around the waist of the winner at UFC 300 the way they did with The Rock, the rightful person this time should be none other than Coleman.

“The only correct answer is Mark Coleman,” Holloway said. “Especially with what he went through recently with his dog and his dog waking him to go save his stuff and he goes in there and runs for his dog? The guy’s a G. That’s a real life BMF. That would be sick if he did it. It would be an honor to get him to do it.”

Max says time is on his side against Justin

As for how he has been feeling ahead of his BMF clash with Justin Gaethje at UFC 300, Holloway revealed that he has been ultimately feeling great. According to “Blessed,” he has a lot of time to prepare for this fight which is the biggest difference when he last fought a lightweight in Dustin Poirier at UFC 236.

“I feel bigger, I feel stronger, I feel faster mentally [and] physically. Physically, I feel good, you guys going to see the difference here in a little bit… Even when we get in there with Justin you guys going to see the difference. Everybody keep talking about the Poirier fight, I hate bringing it up but you know like I said we had six weeks to get ready for that, that’s barely a fight camp, that’s not even a fight camp. That’s kind of crazy but you know with this one we doubled that you know we had like 12, 10 weeks whatever it is and we just had time we had time on our on our side on this one,” Holloway said.

“The belt is the belt. The belt is cool,” he added. “The things that can come with the belt can be life-changing, so we’ll see what happens. But I’m more excited that I get to share the octagon with Gaethje. It’s amazing. It’s amazing to share the octagon with a future Hall of Famer in him and, title or no title, being able to fight him is one of the best things I’m looking forward to.”

Holloway is coming in off a two-fight winning streak in the featherweight division. In his last fight, “Blessed” won via TKO against Korean Zombie at UFC Singapore.
