- Max Holloway called out Chan Sung Jung after securing a decision victory over Arnold Allen at UFC Kansas City
- “Blessed” has been thinking about why he and Korean Zombie have yet to face each other to this day
Max Holloway knows exactly what he wants next. Following his unanimous decision win over Arnold Allen at UFC Kansas City, “Blessed” is now fancying a showdown with his fellow UFC stalwart Chan Sung Jung, simply known as “The Korean Zombie.”
A fight that should happen
Speaking to the media in his post-fight press conference, Holloway said his team is working on a fight against another fighter in Australia but if Korean Zombie will be down, then “he can get it.”
“Korean Zombie, that’s the only guy of my time, with the older guys, that I didn’t get to fight. I would love that fight. There’s a fight in my agents’ country, Australia. Australia is supposed to be happening sometime, we don’t know when, and if Korean Zombie wants it he can get it. I would love to fight him. That’s one of the guys I grew up watching,” Holloway revealed.
Holloway came clean about having been wondering why after all these years, he and Korean Zombie have yet to share the Octagon.
“I’m kind of tripping on how we didn’t fight yet. How did we not fight? If that’s one of the guys, that’s one of the guys. I would love to share the octagon with him. He’s one of the OGs that I didn’t get to fight, and we came up in the same era, and we didn’t fight each other,” he added.

It will boil down to Jung’s decision
While Holloway’s call for a clash with Jung seems to make sense, “Blessed” might have to convince Korean Zombie that a fight with him is indeed worth it. It can be recalled that after losing the title fight against reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, Jung considered retirement.
On the other hand, Holloway still got his eyes locked on an epic fourth fight with Volk as he believes he can still make another run for the title. The win over Allen saw “Blessed” securing his first victory since losing to Volkanovski for the third time at UFC 276.
