Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg believes a fantasy matchup with Tesla’s Elon Musk is dead in the water.

When Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a “cage fight” on social media, it had the MMA community buzzing. Zuckerberg, who recently earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt, responded to the challenge by asking Musk to, “Send me location.” Zuckerberg was channeling his inner Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Mark Zuckerberg Says Potential Fight With Elon Musk Looks Bleak

Mark Zuckerberg recently took to his new Threads social media platform to express his belief that a showdown with Elon Musk isn’t likely to happen. The Meta founder insists that he wants the matchup to happen, but he says Musk is playing games.

“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on,” Zuckerberg wrote. “I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

Zuckerberg’s comments are quite the departure from Musk’s Twitter post at the end of last week. Musk revealed that a bout with Zuckerberg would not hosted by the UFC.

Time will tell if the public will ever get to see Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk throw down in a sanctioned fight.
