According to UFC President Dana White, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk are 100% serious about stepping inside the Octagon against one another.

The battle between Musk and ‘The Zuck’ took a rather interesting turn this week when Musk threw some shade at Zuckerberg in response to a report claiming that the META CEO was looking to launch a new app to compete with Musk’s latest acquisition, Twitter. Musk was promptly warned by one user to watch what he says about Zuckerberg, referencing the social media mogul’s recent foray into jiu-jitsu. Musk snapped back, suggesting the two billionaires could compete in a cage fight for social media supremacy.

Nobody thought much of it until Zuckerberg barked back with three simple words; “Send me location.” Fight fans will likely recognize that callout as the one popularized by UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ used those same words to taunt Conor McGregor ahead of their record-breaking clash at UFC 229.

At first, it all seemed like nothing more than two billionaires entertaining themselves in between counting their cash and overpaying for various media-based products. But according to Dana White, both men are as serious as a heart attack when it comes to strapping on the gloves and going toe-to-toe.

“I was talking to both Elon and Mark last night, and both guys are absolutely dead serious about this,” White revealed during a conversation with TMZ Sports.

“They both said, ‘Yeah, we’ll do it.’ They both want to do it. Mark Zuckerberg hit me up first and said, ‘Is he serious?’ And I said I don’t know, let me ask him. I asked him, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m dead serious.’ And I agree with you, Harvey. This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world,” White continued. “Bigger than anything that’s ever been done. It would break all pay-per-view records. These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity, and you don’t have to be a fight fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it.”

Dana White Speaks on the Martial Arts Experience That Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk Bring to the Table

Dana White, always the businessman, confirmed his interest in making the fight happen if both men are legitimately serious.

“If these guys are serious, I make fights that people want to see,” White said. “That’s what I do for a living, so if they really want to do it and they’re serious, and we can figure it out, figure out a way to pull this off, I would absolutely positively do this.”

Mark Zuckerberg has been in the news as of late, spotted taking part in a recent jiu-jitsu tournament. Though early reports indicated that ‘The Zuck’ was put to sleep in an early match, he still managed to walk away with a gold medal. And according to Dana White, Elon Musk has had his fair share of scraps while growing up, in addition to some formal training.

“Mark takes the sport very seriously. He trains very hard. He’s good at jiu-jitsu. He’s good and stand-up, and Elon tells me that he’s done martial arts, that he’s done jiu-jitsu, and he says, ‘People might not think this of me, but I’ve been in plenty of fights growing up in South Africa.'”

White also suggested that if they do manage to bring the fight together, it is likely to cost you a hundred bucks to partake in the festivities from the comfort of your own home.
