Marina Shafir is probably the nicest person you’ll ever meet that can Uchi Mata your face from your skull Raiders of the Lost Ark style. That’s right, her judo is so nasty it will melt your face without even really touching it. I know that doesn’t really make any sense, but exceptional judoka’s are not of this world, and Marina proves it. She has 4 amateur wins in her MMA career with 4 first round finishes. Three of which have come in under a minute. She’s kind of following in the footsteps of her roommate, Ronda Rousey, except Marina plans on kicking ass and taking names at 145 pounds.
So back to Marina being nice. She has no reason to be as kind as she is to the general populace, but she’s basically the female version of Wand – happy go lucky and totally cool out of the cage, then ready to destroy and melt faces with her judo and Glendale Fighting Club badassery when in the cage.
