Manel Kape is not a fan of Deiveson Figueiredo speaking out about possibly leaving the flyweight division.
Last week, UFC flyweight champion Figueiredo spoke to Ag. Fight and said he was thinking about leaving flyweight and moving up to bantamweight because he felt disrespected by the UFC for creating an interim flyweight title.
Ungrateful
Flyweight contender Kape ripped Figueiredo during his UFC 275 media day interview.
“Let Deiveson complain. This man is ungrateful,” Kape said. “The UFC gives you everything and he’s right now starts complaining about the UFC makes an interim belt. He should be grateful for the opportunity he has. He was living in the village and living with cows.”

UFC 275
Kape has received a lot of hype since signing with the UFC in 2020. The former Rizin champion gets his chance to crack the top 10 when he faces Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 275. Kape takes his fight against Bontorin seriously but believes he will win somewhat easily.
“This is my opportunity because Rogerio is a good opponent. He’s been fighting Kai-Kara very well in the first round, unfortunately, Kai-Kara give him a better punch, but I think Rogerio is a better fighter than these guys, and I will prove that I’m a better fighter than Rogerio and win this fight easily,” Kape said.
Kape faces Bontorin on the UFC 275 main card, and with a dominant win, Kape can find himself in a number one contender fight later this year.
