Luke Rockhold defeats Keith Jardine and then calls out UFC’s entire middleweight division

Luke Rockhold did exactly what 80% of the audience inside the Hard Rock Casino thought he was going to do and raged on Keith Jardine like some belligerent drunk with really good striking. Luke managed to finish off Jardine in the first round in relatively the same way that King Mo finished off Lorenz Larkin earlier in the night. Granted, those guys do train together so it does make a bit of sense. Rockhold then got on the mic to essentially call out the entire UFC middleweight division insisting, there’s a lack of middleweights in Strikeforce for him to scrap with. Tim Kennedy, Rockhold’s original opponent, may have something to say about that statement but with guys like Anderson Silva, Mark Munoz, Vitor Belfort, Okami and Bisping mixing it up in the UFC — it seems like Rockhold (and Kennedy) are just lying dormant in Strikeforce’s middleweight division. Well, that is until we truly see a promotional cross-over.

Massive congratulations on Luke Rockhold’s first title defense, and hopefully we’ll see the twenty-seven-year-old continue his 8-0 winning streak through Strikeforce — or UFC.
