Lil Nog is coming to the UFC

One is named Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and the other is Antônio Rogério Nogueira, One goes by the nickname of Minotoro while the other is called Minotauro. The MMA world calls one Big Nog and the other Lil Nog (none of them have egg nog sponsorships…surprisingly). But the easiest way to tell the two apart is one of them fights in the UFC and the other…well, sort of fights everywhere. Lil Nog (the brother not in UFC) has fought in 5 countries and has racked up a record of 17-3. His three loses coming from Shogun Rua, Sokudjou and ‘The Janitor’ Matyushenko (who just recently signed with the UFC). Dude has faced some stiff competition and has still emerged with a solid record, solid enough actually to get signed with the UFC.

In today’s UFC 102 conference call, Big Nog confirmed that the UFC has talked to Lil Nog and that he will indeed be in the UFC within this year. He was scheduled to fight in the Brazilian Bitetti Combat card (that is actually still a pretty stacked card) in September but he was pulled from the bout today. Breaking News: Drunken meatheads will not be satisified until Dana White headlines an event with Big Nog vs. Lil Nog, Brother vs. Brother…sort of like Frank Shamrock vs. Ken Shamrock but a lot cooler.
