KJ Noons is back from his ‘What happened to that guy?’ cave

Somewhere in America, Krazy Horse is counting his KOTC money, changing his driver’s license to ‘Kid Khaos’ and doing backflips off his neighbor’s fence with the news that KJ Noons has been signed by Strikeforce. If you guys were unfortunate to catch Gary Shaw in all of his MMA glory then you probably missed EliteXC’s inaugural show that happened a couple of years ago in Mississippi. Renzo Gracie and Frank Shamrock headlined the card, some chick named ‘Gina Carano’ competed in her 4th MMA bout and KJ Noons spent weeks letting the world exactly how Krazy Horse is a buster. The day came, cage was locked and Krazy Horse launched a monumental right hook that sent Noons flying to the mat like that time you wrecked your bicycle into a parked car (we’ve all done it). After the KO Krazy Horse backflipped off the top of the cage, circumnavigated the arena like he was Magellan and jumped back inside the cage to witness the aftermath. It would be nice to see Noons vs. Krazy Horse II…but Cristiano Marcelo is too busy choking out Krazy Horse backstage in some locker room

It’s sort of a bummer when your name is automatically associated with a guy with a name that begins with ‘Krazy’. There was also that time when Noons was banging against Nick Diaz and the fight had to be stopped after the first round from a nasty gash Diaz had over his eye (it forced the dude to get part of his bone shaved off). After EliteXC went under, Noons turned down a contract to sign with Strikeforce and chose to box instead. KJ racked up a record of 8-2 and today, Sherdog is reporting that he’s finally back in the cage and has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce…and that should make you rest easy at night.
