Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed he’s working with the UFC on a documentary about his fighting career.
Nurmagomedov fought in the UFC between 2012 and 2020. During his UFC tenure, ‘The Eagle’ won thirteen consecutive fights, including four for the lightweight title. In October 2020, the Russian legend retired after securing a third-round submission against Justin Gaethje, walking away with an overall record of 29-0.
In the summer of 2024, Nurmagomedov’s story will be told in a documentary produced by the UFC. The former lightweight world champion announced the upcoming film during an Instagram live conversation with Dana White:
“Right now I’m working with your people, you send here like 25 cameras about the documentary” – Nurmagomedov
“Oh, alright. We doing this sh*t? Or what are we doing? We doing it?” – White
“Yeah, I’m working on this like last five days. It’s very busy. Even now, these people waiting for me.” – Nurmagomedov
“So, you’re in?” – White
“Yes, I’m in.” – Nurmagomedov
“You heard it here first ladies and gentlemen. We’re doing a documentary on Khabib.” – White
“Yeah, I think this year is going to be very busy and next year, about like summer, it’s gonna be like one of the best documentaries.” – Nurmagomedov
“I agree with you.” – White
Nurmagomedov’s rise to fame and fortune featured several well-known stories, including a video of him wrestling a bear as a child. Therefore, it’ll be intriguing to see how the documentary incorporates the many factors that led ‘The Eagle’ to become an MMA legend.

Conor McGregor reacts to the upcoming documentary of Khabib Nurmagomedov
Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov were enemies featured in a historic rivalry. In April 2018, the tension between the MMA legends led to McGregor throwing a dolly through a bus containing Nurmagomedov and several other fighters scheduled to fight at UFC 223.
They ended up fighting in October 2018, with ‘The Eagle’ securing a fourth-round submission win.
To this day, McGregor and Nurmagomedov are not on good terms. Once ‘The Notorious’ heard of his rival’s upcoming documentary, he reacted by referencing the bus incident in this since-deleted tweet:
“Poo on bus. The story”
There’s no doubt ‘The Eagle’ is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. With that said, Khabib Nurmagomedov tends to be left off most people’s top-five GOAT list because he only defended his UFC title three times.
Despite what the haters might have to say, Nurmagomedov established a legendary resume by securing wins against Rafael dos Anjos, Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza, Al Iaquinta, Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje.
"It's going to be my last fight."
