Conor McGregor’s documentary titled ‘McGregor Forever’ is scheduled to be released on Wednesday. The film director has revealed some interesting details about a crucial aspect of the documentary.

The film crew was following McGregor for years and one of the parts was the immediate aftermath of McGregor losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov. It was the Irishman’s return to the UFC and he suffered a fourth-round submission loss after the loss, a brawl happened, which fired up McGregor.

‘He knew had to make sense of losing’

Once Conor McGregor got back to his locker room, the film director admitted he was surprised by the Irishman’s mindset.

“The thing that was sort of interesting to me was, this was a guy who everyone else in the world gets really distracted by the losing. Like he lost to Khabib and we were in the training room afterwards,” the McGregor Forever film director said to BroBible. “The camera’s there and everyone, including Dana, was in the dressing room. If you remember, after the Khabib fight, there’s all this chaos, guys jumping into the ring and Conor, he couldn’t care less. He was like, ‘That’s that. I lost.’ He was disappointed, of course, but he was also immediately trying to figure out, ‘Okay, how can I use this?

“How can I literally and figuratively pick myself up off the mat?’ He’s not distracted by other things. I just thought there was a really interesting clarity,” the film director continued. “We fill up the airwaves talking about the go over and over and over again, but he just kind of dials in. He’s a fighter and he loves to fight, he’s not practically bothered by losing. He says it all the time, you don’t do this if you are not willing to lose. Losing is a part of the game. I just thought that was interesting. He knew had to make sense of losing.”

Although the film director said Conor McGregor was fine losing, there is no question he wants to get that fight back. He has been vocal in trying to get Khabib Nurmagomedov out of retirement for quite some time but it seems unlikely the two will ever fight again.
