Khabib Nurmagomedov signed to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC 178, then blew out his knee 20 minutes later. ****!

Was Khabib on the mats, leaning on his elbow, attempting to sign his fight contract with Donald Cerrone whilst combating the damned pen from poking through the paper that would seal his fate? There was too much sweat and bear drool, but it got done eventually. So Khabib Nurmagomedov signed his name, then stood up, did something, and then ‘blew out his knee’ in short order. Now his fight with Cerrone is off. Or delayed. I don’t know. I’m just annoyed because Khabib/Cerrone is the best fight the UFC can make right now besides Diaz vs X.

Damn you, MMA Gods. Why doth thou look down at us and laugh so often? You’re the same higher-beings that think Gina Carano can make 135. It makes a guy want to kneel in the rain, tear his shirt open to bare his chest to the world, and scream, ‘why?’

We just want nice things. We just want nice violence. But we still sit here on a Friday at 1:45 pm central time, lamenting the loss of Khabib’s latest step to UFC/MMA greatness.

Damn it.

His training partners are not taking this well:

I guess the next question is where did Khabib get such a boss cane on short notice?
