Before Israel Adesanya vs. Sean Strickland starts, the surging Manel Kape takes on undefeated debutant Felipe Dos Santos. The action takes place from Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Round 1:

Kape throws leg kicks at Dos Santos. Dos Santos goes for body kicks and then a knee that doesn’t land. Dos Santos lands a good jab on Kape. Kape returns fire with a dangerous combo that sits down Dos Santos. Kape topples Dos Santos on the ground for a moment before they both get back up. Kape pieces up Dos Santos on the feet. Dos Santos pumps out the jab.

Kape loses balance on a teep kick and Dos Santos tries to follow him onto the ground, only to give up position in a few seconds. Dos Santos lands two straight jabs. Dos Santos chops the leg of Kape with kicks. They exchange in the clinch for a brief period. Kape throws a spinning back elbow.

Dos Santos throws a flurry of teep kicks to the body. Kape and Dos Santos slug it out in the final seconds of the opening round.

Round 2:

Dos Santos gets active with more leg kicks. Dos Santos chases down Kape in the Octagon, looking to make something big happen offensively. Dos Santos almost goes down after a leg kick. Kape catches Dos Santos with a right hand. Dos Santos spams the body with kicks down the middle.

Neither fighter is able to land much until Kape eventually finds the chin of Kape with a counter right hand. Kape then tags Dos Santos with a left. Dos Santos rushes in, punching at Kape. Kape goes for a blitz himself, firing many shots inside the pocket. Dos Santos doesn’t stand down, willing to trade punches with Kape. Kape taunts Dos Santos by putting his hands behind his back.

Round 3:

Kape cracks Dos Santos with a strong right hand. Kape looks to counter Dos Santos every time he comes in. Dos Santos lands a combo of punches. Kape knocks down Dos Santos. Dos Santos gets up and hurts Kape with his strikes. Dos Santos’ punches continue to find their target. Kape lands a right. The fighters get into a wild exchange of hits. Dos Santos jumps to throw a teep kick before being taken down by Kape at the end of the round.
