The fight between Austen Lane and Tafa took an unfortunate turn when an eye poke occurred just 29 seconds into the bout at UFC on ABC 5 in Jacksonville, Fla. It was a disappointing outcome for both fighters, especially former Jacksonville Jaguar defensive end Lane, who was making his UFC debut in front of his former football fans.

Tafa, from Australia, was aiming to extend his winning streak to three and faced the setback of the eye poke. However, the good news is that despite the severity of the injury, it appears that Tafa has managed to avoid any long-term damage. This provides some relief and hope for his future in the sport.
