Late Monday night, the UFC Welterweights would get into a scuffle outside ‘Papi Steak’ Restaurant in Miami Beach. A video of the aftermath popped up as TMZ would upload footage of the two separating, with Covington going back inside the restaurant.

Following the altercation, more details surrounding the incident came out.

Covington Suffered A Chipped Tooth
Additionally, Nolan King reported that Covington suffered a chipped tooth and wrist abrasion.
“Miami Beach Police confirm to me an incident occurred last night involving Jorge Masvidal outside Papi Steak, in which a victim alleges he was punched twice in the face, resulting in a chipped tooth and wrist abrasion,” King wrote.

More Details Emerge
Adding on to this wild story, ESPN is reporting that Masvidal could be facing a felony battery charge. In their report, they said the unnamed victim [who was obviously Covington] would provide the police with his testimony.
“The victim told police, after they responded at 10:55 p.m. ET, that he was attacked by Masvidal as he was walking away from the restaurant. According to the victim, Masvidal ran up from the left and sucked-punched him twice. One punch was to his mouth and the other to his left eye. During the attack, the victim claims Masvidal said “you shouldn’t have been talking about my kids.”
