Jorge Masvidal Calls For Fight Against Conor McGregor
Jorge Masvidal is coming off of a massive five-second knockout, over Ben Askren. Now, he is looking to capitalize on his recent successes, with a bigger fight.
It is no secret that Jorge Masvidal wants to fight for the UFC title, after UFC 239. However, he is aware that this may not happen, as his friend Colby Covington could very well get that fight.
Although he has expressed a willingness to face his friend, if the need arises, he is looking at other options. He spoke with Dan LeBatard about what fights he is looking for, if it isn’t for the title.
“Another guy that interests me, because it’s just a fight that, if we made it, it’s gonna sell a lot. i’m going to get the money i deserve. you can see, you put me in there in the fight, and i’m gonna fight. i’m gonna give you what the fans want. i’ve never pulled out of a fight. i want mcgregor, man. i want to break his face. i think that’s an easy paycheck. he’s got these cash symbols written all over his face for me. i just don’t see it going his way at all, if i’m honest with you.
he backs down, he taps. i’ve never tapped in my whole entire career. he’s tapped a couple of times, so that’s backing down right there, in my books. that’s something i’ve never done. i just feel like i’d break him. it’d be an easy fight. it’d just be more money, more fans, and then fight for the title.”
Currently, Conor McGregor is fighting at a weight class below Jorge Masvidal. Yet, if a fight between these two comes together, the build up would be epic.
