Jon Jones Is Willing To Offer Thiago Santos A Title Rematch Once’ Marreta’ All Healed Up.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is coming off a fifth-round split decision win over top contender Thiago Santos in the main event of UFC 239 earlier this month from Las Vegas.

Santos fought Jones for five-round on one leg is currently recovering from recent ACL, MCL and meniscus surgery on both knees. Sadly ‘Marreta’ will be on the shelf for quite a while considering how well he fought against ‘Bones’ in a title fight.

Santos posted a video on social media following his surgery, suggesting things aren’t that easy as it looks. Many factors come in that from sleeping to eating.

After acknowledging Santos’ post, Jones sends some good vibes towards him.

“Remember, God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers. Life is all about perspective. Use this time wisely, I have no doubt you will. Handle this adversity with your head high, never know who you’re inspiring. God Speed”

Santos gave Jones one hell of a time at UFC 239 and almost handed ‘Bones’ a second career loss. Alexander Gustaffson back in 2013, did the same where Jones was on the verge of defeat. However, on both bouts, Jones stayed tight and cruised toward victory.

Jones hasn’t offered many of his opponents a rematch but considering how impressive Santos fought on one leg made him re-run for a second time.

“I think that’s only fair,” Jones said about a potential rematch with Santos.

Jones and Santos rematch at this point are far from a done deal as lightweight champion hints to return to Octagon this November may be at heavyweight. While Santos is recovering from knee surgery and upon return, he’ll have to deal with top contenders before putting his hands on Jones again.
