Joe Rogan In Awe Of Khamzat Chimaev’s Toughness
Appearing on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Joe Rogan said Khamzat Chimaev proved just how tough he is when he defeated Gilbert Burns.
“He’s a full psychopath.”
When asked how he’d think Chimaev would fare against reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman, Rogan was quick to remind folks that “The Nigerian Nightmare” dispatched of Burns.
“The thing is, Usman beat Burns pretty handily. Burns caught him in the first round with a big shot but Usman survived easily and then stopped Burns afterward and was the first guy to really dominate him like that.”
Rogan went on to say that Chimaev never wavered in his bout with Burns despite being rocked a few times.
“Khamzat is the f*cking truth. He’s the f*cking truth cause he got hit with bombs. He got his head spun around backwards, never backed off.”
Time will tell what’s next for Chimaev, who now finds himself in the number three spot on the official UFC welterweight rankings.
