Jamahal Hill has a lot of questions for his next opponent Thiago Santos.

Does Santos have the power to sleep someone? Will ‘Marreta’ come out guns blazing for their fight? Well, the UFC Light Heavyweight’s expectations are not too high for Santos.

Hill Doesn’t Think Santos Has Knockout Power

When talking about Santos’ KO Power, ‘Sweet Dreams’ questioned the abilities of his future foe.

“Does he got knockout power?” Hill asked Middle Easy’s James Lynch. “I haven’t seen him knock out [fighters]— I haven’t seen him sleep nobody. Who did he sleep? [Jan Blachowicz] wasn’t asleep. He hasn’t put any lights out.”

Santos Turned ‘Gun Shy’

Santos might not be the same monstrous knockout artist he once was, but he looks to turn back the clock at 38 years old. Perhaps, we’ll see the Santos who nearly beat Jon Jones in 2018. Starting with the split decision loss to Jones, the Brazilian has been beat 4 times in his last five fights.

Hill would explain the decline of Santos since the loss to ‘Bones’.

“He’s gotten older. His body has been through more. I don’t know. He seems really f*cking gun shy now. He not really coming to bang. He not really trying to fight. Which with me, you don’t have a choice. We’ll see.”

‘He’s Still Good’

Hill would continue, citing Santos isn’t too bad in his book.

“I think he’s still good,” Hill added. “I think his last fight, he won the last couple of rounds against Magomed [Ankalaev]. He looked good in some exchanges, certain things he was doing. He showed flashes of the caliber of fighter that he is. I just think that I’ll be able to do some things, create some opportunities that he won’t be able to handle, it’s going to be things outside of his skillset.”

Watch Jamahal Hill take on Thiago Santos on August 6th.
