Jake Paul hopes to add Francis Ngannou to his Most Valuable Promotions roster.

‘The Predator’ is currently the most intriguing free agent in MMA. Ngannou’s last fight was in January 2021, where he defended the UFC heavyweight championship against Ciryl Gane before leaving the promotion. Although the 36-year-old has been focused on escaping a restrictive contract, Paul believes he can help the former heavyweight champion find success moving forward.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, ‘The Problem Child’ had this to say about potentially signing Ngannou to Most Valuable promotions:

“We have talked. The Most Valuable Promotions team, we talked to Francis. We think we can do a great job for him. We share the same vision on a lot of things. Hopefully Francis sees that as well, but regardless, we’re always gonna be there to support him. On the MMA side of things, we’re working on something too. Francis is a great guy, and I think there’s a lot of opportunities for us together.”

Paul’s promotion currently features three fighters – Shadasia Green, Ashton Sylve, and Amanda Serrano. The former YouTuber has done phenomenal things for his fighters’ careers, and Ngannou could benefit from his help. Not only does ‘The Problem Child’ have connections with ESPN and Showtime, but the 26-year-old also recently signed with PFL, benefiting ‘‘The Predator’ if he wants to fight in MMA again.

Jake Paul names Nate Diaz as a possible opponent for his next boxing match

When Jake Paul isn’t promoting, he’s tying up his gloves and competing. On February 26, Paul puts his undefeated record of 6-0 on the line against Tommy Fury, the half-brother of WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson. During the same interview, ‘The Problem Child’ was asked who’s next after Fury. He responded by saying:

“There’s a lot of people out there still. KSI says he wants to fight me later on in the year. We’ll see if he stops his capping. Nate Diaz is still running around. I think the Floyd [Mayweather] fight is still interesting. So, there’s a lot of names out there after this fight.”

Nate Diaz joined Francis Ngannou in parting ways with the UFC to test the waters of free agency. The Stockton native last fought in September 2022, defeating Tony Ferguson with a fourth-round submission. It’s unclear what’s next for Diaz, but a boxing match against Paul is still possible.
