I will likely forever be haunted by Anderson Silva breaking his leg on Chris Weidman’s expertly-checked kick. The anticipation leading up to the fight, the proclamations of everything being ‘normal’ by Anderson. Weidman was surely going to get knocked out. He couldn’t challenge the GOAT, Anderson. Welp, we were all wrong, weren’t we? Fluke or not, Weidman will likely never face Anderson again, and he will always be 2-0 against him.
Now Anderson just sits at home, mending and playing Goat Simulator on his PC. It’s a sad state of affairs, my friends.
I’m sure many would say this is an uplifting video, showing Anderson as a strong, recovering champion, but it just makes me sad. My glass is usually half full, but in this instance, the glass was shattered against Chris Weidman’s knee.
