It looks like Rampage vs. Hamill will be headlining UFC 130, Edgar vs. Maynard III is off

As if a sign from the MMA gods above, my prophecy is somewhat coming true (albeit it at the expense of a couple of amazing lightweights). Earlier today I suggested in an article that the UFC could offer Rampage Jackson vs. Rashad Evans from now until UFC 140 comes along and the public would not be disappointed. Now it looks like we’ve arrived at a half-way mark in this suggested solution.

Mike Chiappetta of MMAFighting and UFC’s Thomas Gerbasi simultaneously broke the news Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard are both out of May 28ths UFC card due to injuries sustained in training camp. This leaves Rampage Jackson and Matt Hamill as the new headliners for UFC 130. Let’s hope the UFC Primetime show is filled with Rampage Jackson either slapping or in the process of slapping every person that incidentally ‘steps to him’ at a nightclub. [Source]
