UFC president Dana White guarantees that when former rivals Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira meet inside the Octagon, it will be ‘batsh*t nuts.’

Dana White Believes Adesanya vs. Pereira Will Be ‘Nuts’

UFC president Dana White was recently interviewed and asked for his thoughts on the Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier fight from UFC 276.

White wasn’t present for the event as he was on vacation. The UFC boss commented that Adesanya didn’t necessarily put on the performance that he hyped up leading into the fight. However, he didn’t put it all on Adesanya.

“He won,” White said (via MMA Fighting). “I don’t know if it was the performance that he wanted to give or that he was selling leading into that fight.

“The other thing is, I don’t think his opponent was very aggressive either. It takes two to make a great fight.”

On the same card, former Adesanya foe Alex Pereira also picked up a big win. Pereira knocked out Sean Strickland in the first round of their main card tilt.

The pair of Adesanya and Pereira met twice before in kickboxing. Pereira won both bouts, the latter being over knockout.

Both men’s wins set up an eventual rematch inside the UFC’s Octagon, with the middleweight title up for grabs.

While White can’t guarantee the fight will happen next, he can guarantee it will be “batsh*t nuts”

“It won’t happen in the next fight,” White said. “When you’re sitting here in my position, you can’t give too many guarantees.

“I can say, ‘Stylistically, on paper this should be…’ or, ‘We feel this is going to be…’ — I f****** guarantee you, I absolutely, positively guarantee you, that the next fight that Israel Adesanya fights will be absolutely bats*** nuts.”
