In old school Kung Fu movies, this sort of stare-down and subsequent matchup went down behind closed doors of a Shaolin temple somewhere in the mountains of China and nobody ever got to see it. Well, it was a movie, so obviously you got to see it, but you’re special. In modern MMA, this is the best we can do without fight choreography and a Shaw Brothers movie set. Unfortunately, this fight will not involve stunt wire and cheesy sound effects. Everything you’ll see on Saturday night will be performed by two guys who have no interest in any theatrics outside of putting a check mark in their win column and earning a potential title shot with Anderson Silva. It will probably be just as exciting as your favorite Kung-Fu film (except Avenging Warriors of Shaolin) and just as bloody. We’re not sure what this weekend has in store, but check out the intensity Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping brought to the pre-fight press conference. Now spend the next 48 hours watching Kung Fu until they get in the cage.
